Canine Physiotherapy Assessment & Treatment
Who’s it for?
- New referrals for physiotherapy, including rehabilitation and hydrotherapy post-injury or post-surgery
*Vet permission required. Pawra will contact your vet in advance.
What to expect?
We’ll begin this in-depth session by obtaining a full history of your dog. We'll conduct a full movement assessment, looking at their muscle condition, joint range of motion, and neurological checks. Based on your dog’s needs, we’ll create a personalised physiotherapy plan that may include manual therapy, electrotherapy, stretching, strength work, and home exercises. Treatment begins in the same session, and you'll leave with a clear understanding of how we’ll support your dog’s recovery or performance. We'll also advise you on home and lifestyle modifications you can make to help meet your dog's needs.
Canine Physiotherapy Treatment
Who’s it for?
- Repeat visits for physiotherapy post-injury or post-surgery
*Canine Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment is always required before undertaking this session.
*Vet permission required. Pawra will contact your vet in advance.
What to expect?
This session builds on your dog’s physiotherapy plan. It may include hands-on treatment such as joint mobilization and soft tissue work, structured exercises to improve strength, balance, and proprioception, and any necessary progress reviews or updates. We'll adjust the approach each time based on how your dog is responding, ensuring each visit is meaningful, not just routine.
Laser Therapy
Who’s it for?
- Dogs needing enhanced healing post-injury or post-surgery
*Canine Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment is always required before undertaking this session.
*Vet permission required. Pawra will contact your vet in advance.
What to expect?
A powerful complement to manual therapy or exercise rehabilitation, especially in early stages of healing, laser therapy uses targeted light to reduce inflammation, accelerate tissue repair, and relieve pain, all without discomfort or side effects. In this session, which is quick, quiet, and completely non-invasive, we’ll move the laser probe across the treatment area where a gentle warmth may be experienced. Most dogs relax and enjoy it (some even snooze through it).
Radiofrequency Treatment

- Dogs needing chronic pain management
*Canine Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment is always required before undertaking this session.
*Vet permission required. Pawra will contact your vet in advance.
What to expect?
Radiofrequency therapy uses gentle electromagnetic waves to stimulate deep tissue circulation and muscle relaxation. It’s particularly helpful in relieving chronic tension, improving flexibility, and supporting joint health. We’ll apply a conductive gel to the body and move a handheld device around in a circular motion where a gentle warmth is generated. The treatment is warm, soothing, and completely safe. Most dogs find it deeply relaxing. For lasting impact, it pairs beautifully with canine physiotherapy or massage
